- As an essential frontline supervisor, they lead, coordinate, and motivate teams of up to 12 young adults between the ages of 18-24, all residents of the New York City Public Housing Authority (NYCHA) enrolled as AmeriCorps members.
- These activities include urban agriculture, composting, clean energy projects across New York City, and educating NYCHA residents about key sustainability initiatives both at Eco-Hub sites and other NYCHA developments.
- Teams function primarily in their Eco-Hubs but may travel across sites, work on projects across NYCHA developments, and receive training in a more traditional classroom setting.
- Eco-Hubs are closed-loop systems supporting sustainability and health in NYCHA developments.
- Work respectfully and collaboratively with NYCHA development staff when needed, building strong relationships with Property Management and Caretaker staff as it relates to site safety, security, and the integrity of the Eco-Hub.
