- Maintenance Technician performs an increasingly wider range of duties of a more complex nature over time, such as: working in multiple maintenance trades such as hydraulics, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
- Disassembles, overhauls and repairs packing equipment such as T-dump, reefers, sizer, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and puree equipment such as T-dump, slicer, mixers, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and reassembles same.
- Works as rigger when moving heavy equipment, structural steel heavy machinery.
- Uses chipping hammers, drills, grinders when working with structural steel; uses oxyacetylene cutting torch for cutting plates and beams; and uses electrical arc welding.
