- Supervises the maintenance of golf greens, tees, fairways, roughs, sand traps and other features of the golf course and clubhouse, and construction of golf greens; determines needs, schedules, assigns and monitors irrigation of the golf course; and performs other related duties as required.
- This class differs from that of Golf Course Groundskeeper II in that the Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance of golf greens, tees, fairways and clubhouse, and construction of golf greens as a regular assignment; whereas the Golf Course Groundskeeper II supervises and participates in the care and maintenance of golf course greens, tees and fairways.
- requisitions supplies, tools and equipment; inspects tools and equipment and determines necessity for maintenance and replacement, and prepares requests accordingly; keeps records and prepares work, equipment and other reports; regularly relieves the Golf Course Superintendent; may serve as starter.
- 1) Graduation from high school and four years of grounds maintenance experience, one year of which shall have involved the maintenance of golf greens and fairways and one year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity; or (2) any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- License Requirement: possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's Iicense (Type 3).
