- As a Gastroenterology Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during gastroenterological procedures, maintaining equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality care.
- Set up clean fields for various gastroenterological procedures such as upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, ERCP, esophageal pH testing, pill camera endoscopy, paracentesis, manometry, liver biopsy, and PEG placement.
- Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Knowledge of anatomy, aseptic technique, medical equipment handling, GI procedures, infection control, and patient interaction required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient transport and equipment.
