- CERTIFICATE LICENSE:Meets Maryland certification requirements for teachers of the hearing impaired.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:Thorough knowledge of specialized methods of teaching language, reading, writing, speech, speechreading, listening vocabulary, and concept development s to deaf and hard of hearing students.
- Ability to work with parents and other professionals and support personnel in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEP) for each deaf and hard of hearing student.
- Completion of MCPS Elementary Teacher Test, for self-contained positions.
