- The University of Southern California Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner to join its faculty as a Clinical Instructor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- The Nurse Practitioner would be a shared provider resource in the Division of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Gynecologic Sub-Specialties (OGGS) and Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.
- The Nurse Practitioner (NP) must have a specialized skillset and knowledge related to the setting in which they practice and perform physical exams, collect and document data, conduct approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations, prescribes appropriate interventions and medications, and provides direct patient care services, according to established evidence-based clinical practice standards.
- The NP also helps facilitate safe and efficient operational flow of the patient through their continuum of care.
- Maintains compliance with established University and department policies and procedures, quality assurance, safety, environmental, infection control and complies with requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
