- The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for providing shop technical support of forklifts, walkie stackers, electric pallet jacks, scissor lifts, floor scrubbers, and other PITs. The Forklift Mechanic is also tasked with understanding, developing, initiating, and maintaining the preventive and planned maintenance aspects of the forklifts and other PITs throughout the Atlanta Syrup Plant production facility.
- The Forklift Mechanic must have and have demonstrated the ability to perform work safely, assist towards the enhanced reliability of forklifts and other PITs, demonstrate competence in the troubleshooting and restoration of those assets following downtime as required by the Maintenance Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
- The Forklift Mechanic must also have the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and repair problems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic etc
- The Forklift Mechanic must also be able to perform tests, isolate equipment issues and troubleshoot issues before the removal and replacement of failed components.
