- Work also includes providing targeted forensic accounting in assistance with investigations, inspections and performance reviews conducted by the Office of the Inspector General to determine efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of government programs.
- Active license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or active Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- If appointed, employees in this classification must obtain an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certification as a Certified Inspector General Auditor (CIGA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) during the probationary period.
- Failure to obtain an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certification as a Certified Inspector General Auditor (CIGA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) during the probationary period will result in termination.
- However, all new full time employees hired into this classification on or after January 1, 2013 must be domiciled in Orleans Parish within 180 days of hire.
