- Job Description and Duties Enjoy your passion for hunting and the outdoors and develop work skills while you're at it The Napa-Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Area in Napa, California is looking for new seasonal staff to assist with a variety of hands-on duties.
- This Fish and Wildlife Seasonal Aid position will: Perform the routine work and general manual labor involved with day-to-day operations of a wildlife area; minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, fencing, and cement work projects; posting wildlife area signage; litter and exotic plant removal; planting native vegetation; and installing, operating, and maintaining fish screens and associated water control structures.
- Use specialized equipment in the maintenance and creation of habitat areas on the wildlife area, including operating mowing equipment utilized for weed control purposes.
- Assist a Environmental Scientist in collecting field data on fish or wildlife by censuses and other means; trapping, tagging or marking of fish and wildlife; collecting fish and wildlife samples and specimens.
- Perform work for seasonal activities at other wildlife areas as needed (e.g., waterfowl check stations and special elk hunts).
