- As a technician assigned to an operations district, demonstrates advanced functional skills in at least one functional specialty (corrosion, compression, controls, compliance, measurement, pipeline) and two associated fields identified as supporting functions; applies skills to identify and resolve specialty-specific operating issues in a district; completes general preventive maintenance tasks as assigned and demonstrates an overall seasoned knowledge of pipeline operations.
- Completes preventive maintenance tasks related to turbine compression and all related subsystems (including start/stop, operation, safety shutdown and controls), meter stations, pipeline facilities, corrosion control and right-of-way maintenance and provides operations problem resolution support to an assigned district.
- Experience in electronic systems and instrumentation with applications in measurement, corrosion control, turbine compression and pipeline operations is preferred.
- Ability to learn/use specialty computer programs and equipment, e.g., Allegro field computer to capture inspection data for test points, rectifiers, etc.
- corrosion database and analysis software; Fluke test equipment for measurement calibration and analysis software; compressor alignment software and equipment; turbine and compressor performance analysis software.
