- The Physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and injuries in a Family Practice model setting; provides comprehensive, outpatient medical services for individuals and families on a continuing basis.
- Additionally, at certain sites, the physician is responsible for dispensing pharmaceuticals from the clinic dispensary; may serve as lab director for CLIA waived tests performed in the clinic.

- Demonstrate a strong interest in resident education, including devoting sufficient time to the educational program to fulfill their supervisory and teaching responsibilities; administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents; regularly participate in organized clinical discussions, rounds, journal clubs, didactics, and conferences; and pursue faculty development designed to enhance their skills at least annually.
- Serve as role models for future generations of physicians by demonstrating compassion, commitment to excellence in teaching and patient care, professionalism, and a dedication to lifelong learning.
