- Installation, repair and maintenance of interior and exterior electrical systems, fixtures, appliances, fire alarm system and the controls of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Painting, including mixing paint, preparing surface by scraping, sanding; Using Removers; patching cracks and holes; applying primer and using brushes, rollers and spray guns.
- The incumbent will ensure proper care, storage and use of materials and the management of industrial hygiene issues including radon asbestos, lead, mold and hexavalent chromium.
- Additionally, the incumbent provides vocational, education, and personal counseling as related to practical, on-the-job experience and reports back to the Vocational Instructor on each student's progress and any issues or concerns that may arise.
- This on-the-job training enables students graduating from the Facilities Maintenance Program higher level skills that leads to employment in Industrial Maintenance vocations.
