- The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Hampton Roads District is seeking an Equipment Repair Supervisor at the Franklin Equipment Shop. As the Equipment Repair Supervisor, you will Manage an equipment repair shop, directing the maintenance and repair of equipment used for highway maintenance and construction and emergency operations.
- VDOT is an emergency response agency, and this position may be designated to support emergency operations during certain situations.

- Effective February 7, 2022, new Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations require entry-level drivers (drivers who are seeking to take the skills test in order to obtain a CDL for the first time, upgrade their CDL from a Class B to a Class A, or take the knowledge test to obtain a hazardous materials endorsement for the first time) to complete FMCS approved Entry-Level Driving (ELD) Training before the Department of Motor Vehicles can grant the requested CDL or endorsement.
