- The Equipment Operator/Maintenance Technician will operate various equipment and assist in general highway maintenance and construction work, focusing on operating basic to moderately complex trucks and equipment.
- Additionally, the Operator will perform a wide range of general labor work to maintain the City's water and sewer distribution systems, sidewalks, streets, buildings, and grounds.
- KEY DUTIES (Overview) Maintain City roads, sidewalks, crosswalks, and parking lots in winter: plow; remove snow using equipment; salt and sand all streets, parking lots, sidewalks, and cul-de-sacs.
- Perform a full range of basic road/sidewalk maintenance and construction work throughout the year, including grading, asphalt, and concrete work, excavation for infrastructure repair, basin and manhole repair, painting road markings, and installing signs.
- Perform various general labor work, including shoveling walks, mowing, brush cutting, operating a chainsaw, painting, general building maintenance, and general repairs.
