- Cleans and applies lubricants, changes oil and filters, and conducts routine service on light-duty engines such as, but not limited to: mowers, tractors, light and medium-duty trucks, and earth moving equipment including stationary and gasoline-powered equipment components and small engines.
- Tunes and repairs basic engine components of gasoline engines including fuel injection systems, automatic transmissions; air conditioning systems, suspension systems, tires, hydraulic and air brakes, electrical and ignition systems, drive train and manual transmissions, clutches and rear axle assemblies, cooling and heating, fuel and exhaust systems, other engine components.
- Performs metal fabrication work and welding with torch and/or gas and arc welder.
- Tunes and repairs basic engine components of diesel engines including fuel injection systems, automatic transmissions; air conditioning systems, suspension systems, tires, hydraulic and air brakes, electrical and ignition systems, drive train and manual transmissions, clutches and rear axle assemblies, cooling and heating, fuel and exhaust systems, other engine components.
- Repairs, overhauls, or rebuilds engines and does other major repairs of systems such as diesel, gasoline, and other types of internal combustion engines, automatic and standard transmissions, heavy-duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls.
