- Supervises the Solid Waste Transfer Station Staff and operation
- Education equivalent to a high school diploma supplemented by 5 years of qualifying experience and/or training that includes facilities management, project management, general building maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and general construction.
- Must possess or obtain within a specified timeframe and maintain a valid Virginia Class B commercial driver's license, DPOR License for Electrical and/or HVAC, Master Preferred, DPOR Class 1 Solid Waste Management Facility Operators License, and Certified Facility Manager (CFM) designation from International Facilities Management Association or other County approved organization.
- Advanced knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in general building maintenance, custodial maintenance, grounds maintenance, carpentry, and/or maintenance of plumbing systems, electrical systems, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Considerable knowledge of water treatment and wastewater treatment plant operations, and equipment and testing equipment
