- Currently, AECOM prepares environmental impact assessment for surface, air, and marine transportation; transit; water; power; oil and gas; and land development projects.
- Assisting in developing solutions for tasks which may include: comprehensive planning and elements such as historic preservation, environmental impact assessment, environmental permitting, resource agency consultation and coordination, land use, transportation, capital improvements, infrastructure, housing, fiscal analysis, public policy, and site planning/analysis.
- Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Historic Preservation, Architecture, Cultural or Natural Resource Management, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, or a related field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
- Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and permitting processes and regulatory requirements (e.g. NEPA, CEQA, NHPA Section 106, Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, etc
- Experience with ArcGIS. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite as well as overall strong computer proficiency.
