- The Environmental Manager is responsible for ensuring Contractor and subcontractor activities are in compliance with installation, NAVFAC, state, federal, and local regulations and the environmental requirements of the contract.
- Ensures Contractor and subcontractor compliance with Installation, NAVFAC, state, federal and local regulations and the environmental requirements of the contract.
- Develops, updates, implements and ensures Contractor and subcontractor compliance with the following plans: Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Emergency Planning, Community Right to Know (EPCRA), Clean Air Act, Pollution Prevention, Safe Drinking Water Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, and Lead Paint / Asbestos management requirements and regulations.
- Oversees the collection, storage, labeling, and proper distribution of all hazardous waste for NAS Whidbey Island.
- May assist in the development, update, and implementation of Pest Management Plan.·Ensures all referenced environmental training is attended by Contractor and subcontractor personnel and is properly documented.
