- Job Description AECOM is actively seeking an Environmental Economist to join our Environmental Planning Group in our West Region near one of our major offices in: Boulder or Denver, Colorado; Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon; Salt Lake City, Utah; Phoenix, Arizona; Chicago, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Dallas, or Houston, Texas.
- In this role you’ll have the opportunity to join our interdisciplinary team to support National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, state-level equivalent reviews, and environmental permitting by writing technical assessments of impacts primarily related to the social and economic areas; interfacing with clients and other technical experts; supporting public outreach efforts; and contributing to a positive teamwork-oriented company culture.
- Your experience with consulting or planning with federal agencies; economic modeling (input/output analysis); Environmental Impact Statements (EIS); and Environmental Assessments (EA) under NEPA will allow you to thrive in this role.
