- OverviewResponsibilitiesThe AEMT is responsible for the delivery of patient care under the guidelines of the Tennessee Department of Public Health – EMS Board, the Georgia Department of Public Health – Office of EMS and Trauma, as well as the guidance of the department Medical Director.
- The AEMT will deliver care in the pre-hospital setting under the treatment protocols set forth and approved by the Director of EMS and the Medical Director.
- The AEMT will ensure that his/her equipment is in a state of readiness and cleanliness at the beginning of each shift and their ambulance is fully stocked in accordance with departmental procedures.
- The AEMT will report any deficiencies and/or mechanical issues with their supplies, equipment, or vehicle to a supervisor in a timely fashion.
- The AEMT will be responsible for his/her licensure and the required education for renewal.
