- This job is responsible for providing operational support and overall coordination of a comprehensive emergency preparedness program for the assigned Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) region/facility in accordance with applicable regulatory/accreditation requirements.
- Work involves researching and developing a comprehensive annual risk assessment for the assigned facilities to serve as a basis for effective mitigation strategies as well as education/training and related exercises/drills designed to promote organizational resilience through timely planning and preparedness activities.
- Key responsibilities also include providing direct support to the activation of the VMFH Emergency Response Plans and/or Incident Command activities and serving as a command center liaison during emergency/disaster events.
