- The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is a member of the Emergency Services team and works closely with the Emergency Department Physician to provide appropriate and timely treatment to all patients who present to this department for care.
- The ED RN has the ability to maintain order and flow during peak patient surges, respond to multiple demands with integrity and persistence, prioritize duties according to their critical nature and achieve desired outcomes for our patient population.
- The ED RN contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through participating in performance improvement techniques that provide positive outcomes.
- The ED RN will assist in other hospital nursing areas as low census permits.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE preferred.
