- The backbone of the Internet is a series of high-tech subsea fiber optic cables deployed throughout the globe - SubCom has deployed over % of them.
- Support, maintain, and initiate repairs to TCSC cable ship electronics systems such as, but not limited to: cable automation and monitoring, cable operations navigation and monitoring, ship navigation and monitoring, internal and external communications, computer hardware, software, and networks, User Support, ISO Calibration, and Safety Systems.
- Appropriate, timely reporting of all matters that are unsafe or unapproved modifications, affect regulatory, ET STCW Rest Hours or living conditions, cable operations, ship navigation, regulatory compliance, monitoring, and/or ISO Process compliance to the Captain, Chief Engineer and/or - Department Head as required.
- Support IMO/SOLAS regulatory compliance governed by the Flag State, Class Society, US Coast Guard, Port State Authority, and FCC. Support the Ship Officers, Crew, IP’s, Rep’s and other personnel as circumstances require.
- Qualifications Must be able to obtain a clearance from the US Department of Defense.
