- Performs various duties in the design, assembly, installation, testing, calibration, operation, evaluation, modification, and repair of devices used in the conversion of electrical signals to mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic outputs and the sensors which convert mechanical, thermal and pressure measurements to electrical signals where primary methods, procedures, and standards have been determined.
- Perform maintenance and operation of electrical, hydraulic, thermal, pneumatic, and other types of mechanical equipment in assigned laboratories or work areas, including researching, documenting, acquiring parts, repairing, and calibration electro-mechanical devices and systems.
- Performs troubleshooting and investigative services for malfunctioning or failed pneumatic, hydraulic, pressure, thermal or other electromechanical measuring devices, servo systems or equipment employing energy conversion; repair and calibrates such equipment through personal knowledge and skills used in conjunction with applicable equipment manuals and checkout procedures.
- Work experience with metals, composites, and materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, copper, and Teflon.
