Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. 2nd shift- Full Time Responsibilities Job duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: <ul><li> Electrically troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machine tools and related equipment, including: Ingersoll, DMG Mori, Liebherr, G&L, Pietro Carnaghi, Pama, a variety of various cranes and hoists, conveyors, furnaces, Miller and Lincoln Welding power sources and a Paint Booth. </li><li> Troubleshoot and repair relay logic machines and CNC/PLC controlled machines/equipment, including: - Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, and a variety of other controllers in the machine shop </li><li> Operate measurement and feedback scales and encoder systems, including: Heidenhain and Inductosyn </li></ul>Required Qualifications <ul><li> License Credential with the State of Wisconsin as an Electrician or, Journeyman Electrician/Electronic Technician (state Indentured) or, Associate Degree in electrical/electronics or, Union Journeyman Card or, minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of machinery and machine tools as an Industrial Electrician or, equivalent military experience. </li><li> Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical repair of machine tools and related equipment in an industrial environment OR equivalent military experience OR successful completion of an approved, field-related college/technical school program </li><li> Experience with troubleshooting and repairing relay logic machines and CNC/PLC controlled machines </li><li> Experience with AC/DC analog and digital drives </li><li> Possession of basic mechanical skills </li></ul>Desired Qualifications <ul><li> Possession of basic mechanical skills </li><li> Ability to read and interpret machine electrical schematics and ladder logic. </li><li> Ability to operate basic tools to complete the job </li><li> Ability to demonstrate intermediate or higher proficiency in reading and interpreting machine tool prints/schematics </li><li> Ability to work well individually and in a team environment </li><li> Willingness to work overtime to support production demands </li><li> Skilled and experienced with preventative and predictive maintenance practices and technology. </li><li> Skilled and experienced with the troubleshooting and repair of welding machinery and equipment. </li><li> Skilled and experienced with the troubleshooting and repair of variable frequency drives. </li><li> Skilled and experienced with the troubleshooting and repair of programmable logic controllers. </li><li> Skilled and experienced with the troubleshooting and repair of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment. </li></ul>Additional Information <ul><li> This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, WI </li><li> 2nd shift - Full Time </li><li> The hourly rate depending on experience is Step 1 -$36.83 Step 2 - $38.00 Step 3 - $39.17 hr plus a $1.00 shift differential. </li><li> No relocation assistance is available. </li><li> Safety is a core value at Caterpillar.
