Job Description We are looking for the inspectors in and around the area for the inspection of industrial material and equipment. The Inspector will be assigned to a variety of industrial projects related vendor/shop inspections or vendor surveillance including QAQC inspections during the fabrication of various equipment and machines. Typically, the inspections would require visual/physical inspection, witness of testing, review of QA/QC documentation including MTRs. Each inspection completed would require the inspector to issue a report of findings within the specific time limit. The inspector will be required to sign an independent contractor agreement/sub-contractor agreement (1099) with SGS North America Inc. Work will be assigned on as needed basis and will be paid for the hours/days and other applicable cost items for the hours/days spent on the assigned work. The work duration could be a day or several days or several weeks. Each time an inspection is completed an invoice with a time sheet is expected to pay the inspector for the completed job. Normal payment terms of the contract is 15 to 20 days after receipt of invoice. Qualifications <ul><li>Electrical and/or Instrumentation Journeyman.</li><li>Other E&I Trade Certification</li><li>Understanding and familiarity with the applicable codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE and ANSI plus relevant safety regulations</li><li>Capable of understanding the schematic wiring drawings</li><li>Candidates will have working knowledge of PLC and associated instruments.</li><li>Candidates will have experience around LV, MV and HV equipment such as switchgear, protection devices.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience with inspection work.</li><li>The ideal candidates will have inspection experience in the Oil & Gas industry and Power and Utility.</li><li>Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.</li><li>Candidates must be proficient in using several types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook).</li><li>Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.</li><li>Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.</li><li>Depending on educational qualification, trainings/certification and experience the pay range will be $35 to $55 per hour. Mileage for round trip driving will be reimbursed at cost.
