The Opportunity The Electrical Engineer Supervisor will work in a senior-level engineer capacity performing all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis. This professional will work in areas of energy such as hydrogen, ammonia & fertilizer, petroleum refining, gas processing, petrochemical, chemical, LNG and FLNG. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: <ul><li>Function as a lead technical design engineer, under the direction and support of a Senior Engineer</li><li>Lead projects and teams</li><li>Develop electrical drawing deliverables including single line diagrams, schematics, interconnection diagrams, equipment layouts </li><li>Interface with clients, vendors and subcontractors</li><li>QA/QC project work and mentor junior engineers</li><li>Explore various technologies within the process space to expand your skillset and knowledge </li></ul>If you want to grow and further develop your technical skills in the GFC industry alongside our most talented engineering professionals and clients - this is an excellent opportunity for you! Learn more about our projects here: https://www.bv.com/industries/gas-fuels-chemicals Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Prepare a variety of moderately complex engineering calculations and deliverables following standard methods and principles.</li><li>Perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.</li><li>Understand and adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.</li><li>Initiate contact with other disciplines as needed to identify and coordinate details of work.</li><li>Actively seek to understand and apply client interests and drivers through normal client contact and through interaction and communication with project leadership.</li><li>May provide direction, guidance, and mentoring to others. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>PE Certification.</li><li>Experience as an electrical engineer in the process, oil & gas, new energy, ammonia & fertilizer, LNG, floating LNG, or hydrogen generation spaces.</li><li>Working knowledge of the NEC (NFPA 70 National Electrical Code).</li><li>Experience with at least 3 of the following:</li><ul><li>Hazardous Area Classifications as defined by the NEC</li><li>ETAP or SKM Electrical system analysis modeling software.</li><li>Industrial power distribution system designs including MV and LV switchgear, MCC’s, VFD’s, power distribution transformers, batteries and UPS</li><li>Protective relay settings and equipment sizing calculations associated with power distribution equipment </li></ul></ul>Minimum Qualifications <ul><li>Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing</li><li>Minimum of 11 years related work experience</li><li>All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. </li></ul>Salary Plan ENG: Engineering Job Grade 132 Black & Veatch Holding Company, its subsidiaries and its affiliated companies, complies with all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) affirmative action laws and regulations.
