- This Electrical Engineer position is in the Test and Energization (TETC) organization of the Commissioning and Testing (TET) group in the Transmission Services (T) business line of Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
- The Commissioning & Testing Electrical Engineer facilitates on-site engineering and project assistance for substation construction projects.
- Under the guidance of a senior commissioning engineer or technician, perform testing of substation equipment, primarily power circuit breakers, transformers, and static capacitors.
- With instruction and guidance from the BPA lead engineer, perform testing of Substation Control equipment including Protective Relaying, SCADA, microwave radio, Transfer Trip, and PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- With instruction and guidance from the BPA lead engineer, support the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems by checking rack wiring and cables in BPA facilities.
