- The Education Ambassador Program has been developed to provide Oakland Housing Authority (OHA) program participants a with part-time work experience (up to 80 hours a month) during the school year at one (1) or more of our seven (7) Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) partner schools.
- Under general supervision of the Education Program Analyst and/or Resident & Community Services Coordinator, the primary role of the Education Ambassador is to support attendance projects at partner schools with a focus of decreasing chronic absenteeism & increasing parent engagement.
- Tracks and monitors school attendance rates under supervision of school attendance clerk; develops recognition program for students.
- Collaborates with principals, teachers, attendance clerks, and community school managers on developing ways to promote a perfect attendance culture.
- Operates a variety of standard office equipment such as personal computer, phone, fax, calculator, copier, scanner or other school/OHA specific equipment.
