General Overview : The Dredge Plant Utility position is responsible for day-to-day duties needed to complete work in a safe and timely fashion and maintain a clean work site. This position must also adhere to our safety program and work as a contributing member of the team. Responsibilities : <ul> <li>Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed </li><li>Be cognizant of and adhere to safety requirements </li><li>Participate in all safety meetings </li><li>Shoveling, sweeping, and monitoring </li><li>Must be familiar with operating and servicing small equipment </li><li>Must understand or have familiarity with all power and small tools </li><li>Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment </li><li>Clean, lubricate and fuel all equipment and general site housekeeping </li><li>Ensure safety fences, markings, berms are all in place </li><li>Notify supervisor and/or maintenance of any required work to be done </li><li>Performs other related duties as required </li> </ul>Other Requirements : <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li> </ul>Mental and Physical Requirements : <ul> <li>Able to read, speak and write English </li><li>Able to work under stressful conditions at times </li><li>Work performed in a plant environment </li><li>Exposure to inclement weather as most work will be performed outside </li><li>Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs. or more </li><li>Frequently required to walk on unleveled ground </li><li>Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication </li><li>Dependability, reliability, fulfilling responsibilities </li><li>Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating things </li><li>Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed </li><li>Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, and move about the facility </li><li>May be sensitive to confidential information </li><li>Must work independently and as a member of a team </li> </ul> This job description should not be interpreted as an exhaustive list of responsibilities or as an employment agreement between the employer and employee.
