- Create a workforce experience for early-career public health professionals from diverse backgrounds and disproportionately affected communities to conduct communicable disease prevention and control, community engagement and emergency response activities at communicable disease program sites and
- RADR DIS fellows will have the opportunity to gain disease intervention specialist (DIS) immersion experiences in TB. The fellow will work as an integrated member of their host team.
- Throughout their fellowship, fellows will work with a mentor and have peer support to ensure they are successful in their role.
- Provides disease prevention education/information over the phone, in person with individuals being contacted for testing, treatment, or follow-up
- Has commitment to providing exceptional care and service to all members of the DPH service population, with heightened sensitivity and awareness to racial, ethnic, and culturally diverse members of the DPH’s workforce and patient populations
