The Director, Software Engineering manages the distribution of resources including the department budget, interviews and hires Technical Owners & engineers, establishes team goals as well as effectively collaborates within the Directors domain and across the organization. Responsible for delivering product on time and budget, frequently applying advanced resourcing concepts to keep projects on track in a fast paced, changing environment. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives, develops and adapts the organizational structure and creates policies and procedures to support the department. This Director, Software Engineering position will be responsible for the Regulatory and Sustaining Product development organization. Primary responsibilities include developing new software features on all platforms to comply with the US Department of Health and Human Services requirements for electronic health records, managing a triage team to identify, research and document issues reported by customers on our go forward platform as well as maintain existing sustaining products.
