- The Indigenous Leadership Program Director is responsible for advancing Ecotrust’s mission by supporting Ecotrust programs working with American Indian tribes, Alaska Native villages, and First Nations.
- This role will support Ecotrust in being a partner that provides technical assistance and resources, identifies opportunities, and builds capacity for Indigenous governments in the areas of conservation, climate resilience, economic development, and relationship building.
- Develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships with Indigenous Leadership Awardees, historic and contemporary, with a focus in conducting qualitative research about Indigenous leadership to support program development and growth.
- Create an active network of the Indigenous Leadership Award recipients and identify opportunities to steward them alongside Ecotrust’s existing and future work; ideate and implement new programming as relevant or needed
- A Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree, with a background in areas of study that include Indigenous Studies, tribal governance, Indian law, etc.
