- The Director of Facilities leads a Facilities team of approximately 19 employees and oversees the coordination, implementation, execution, and management of all major functions of the WNC Facilities Department.
- This includes in-house construction and remodel, maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, custodial, grounds, utilities and energy management systems as well as motor pool and mail services.
- Assists in the development of long term strategic and capital outlay plans for the college, with a focus on space planning and management; prepares required reports.
- Assists in the management of hazardous and universal wastes, occupational safety programs, asbestos, mold and indoor air quality investigations and corrective actions.
- Master's degree in engineering, architecture, or closely related field and three years of related professional experience that includes increasing responsibility with building and facilities management and direct supervision responsibilities including employee development, training, coaching, mentoring and performance evaluation.
