- The incumbent serves as Director of Exhibits, Design, and Special Projects of the HMSG, comprised of exhibit (3D) design, 2D graphic design, fabrication, installation, and audio/visual functions of the museum, and reports to the Museum’s Deputy Director.
- Expert knowledge of the properties of a variety of building materials and their application too exhibitions in order to ensure an aesthetically acceptable quality of exhibit design and production.
- Knowledge of and skill in federal and/or Smithsonian Institution contracting and procurement regulations and procedures to assure the services being provided are the ones required by the terms of the contract or purchase order is preferred.
