- Position description The University of California, Irvine (UCI) Institute for Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) and the School of Medicine announces a national search led by Grant Cooper for the Director of the Master of Science in Biomedical and Translational Science (MS-BATS) program.
- The director will also have direct input into advancing a faculty development pipeline from the diverse undergraduates, medical students, and residents at UC Irvine in addition to providing educational opportunities for those interested in matriculating in the program who are not currently part of other UC Irvine programs.
- The overall goal is to develop the next generation of NIH-funded translational scientists or industry leaders who are armed with a unique set of interdisciplinary skills that they acquired through the program.
- We desire applicants who have evidence of commitment to or strong potential for commitment to the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion for underrepresented minority students and groups (Black/African-American, Latino(a)/Chicano(a)/Hispanic, and Native American).
