- Snap On and Milwaukee tools provided to all mechanics.
- Under general direction and in compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, performs skilled work involving the maintenance and repair of all vehicle/bus systems, including gasoline and diesel engines, battery electric vehicle drivetrains, transmissions, 12- and 24-volt electrical systems, engine and transmission computer systems, HVAC systems, and brake systems.
- Following OEM diagnostic process and procedures (including wiring diagrams, diagnostic trees, repair and parts manuals, and schematics) complete troubleshooting of vehicles, electric vehicle charging stations, and/or equipment by using software (including Cummins Insite, Allison DOC, Wabco, Proterra Diagnostic, ViriCiti, Genfare, and MaxiSys), multimeters, specialized tools, test gauges, and integrated on-board maintenance systems.
- Install and Repair Specialized Equipment: Complete installation of specialized equipment such as cellular data systems/modems/WiFi, emergency lighting, two-way radios, computer/mobile data terminal mounts, fare collection systems, intelligent transit systems, GPS equipment, body add-ons, and decals.
- Valid South Carolina Class B Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) with passenger endorsement within 3 weeks of hire.
