- Generalized law enforcement and public safety work in the protection of life and property, and the execution of orders issued through the jurisdiction of the Sheriff of Brevard County.
- Promote public safety in patrol area, respond to all dispatch calls in a timely manner, observes traffic and initiates traffic stops, performs checks on dwellings, buildings, grounds to ensure prevention of damage by fire, theft, and/or vandalism.
- Must be a Certified Law Enforcement Officer in the state of Florida.
- Must be within BCSO Body Ornamentation/Tattoo Policy (For example: Applicants may have tattoos on the neck , and hands under the following conditions: a) No more than one tattoo on each hand no larger than a quarter (hand is defined as the area from the wrist to the fingertips; b) No more than one tattoo behind each ear or one tattoo on the back of the neck no large than a quarter.)
