- The Data Scientist will contribute to the implementation of a cohesive, powerful, and actionable long-term Data Science strategy involving the analysis of large complex nephrology and urology data sets to discover hidden patterns, trends, and associations in support of research, operational, and clinical objectives.
- This work will be performed in close collaboration with pediatric neurologist and epileptologist clinician researchers and faculty at NCH.The candidate should be able to leverage both structured and unstructured data sets to create analytical solutions using tools and/or methods in at least one of the following areas: statistical and predictive modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and geospatial analysis.
- The solutions developed draw on IT-RI’s strong capabilities in statistical modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, statistical genomics, data mining, and big data management and analytics.
- Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in requirement gathering, planning, technical design, and implementation for data science projects in the nephrology and urology domain.
- Adhere to and contribute to the development of best practices for statistical modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, data mining, and big data management and analytics.
