- Data Governance professionals must be intrinsically familiar with the business meaning, use, and strategy for data to effectively oversee the entire data lifecycle from ideation, architecture, development, and production.
- By combining tactical skills with a deep understanding of global Data Privacy Regulation (i.e. GDPR, CCPA), local data-centric regulations (i.e. SOX, GLBA), and industry best practices (i.e. AI Ethics, PII, IAPP and PCI credentials and certifications), Data Governance is a critical partner to Enterprise Risk, Information Security, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal to enable and drive business goals and FIS data strategy, while helping to protect from risk.
- This key position, within the Data Strategy & Solutions (DSS) organization, reports to the Head of Enterprise Data Governance and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the ethical use of artificial intelligence, robust data governance practices, standards, and guidelines and compliance to data policies, standards, and processes.
