- The CVOR Surgical Technologist Surgery provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.
- When the CVOR Surgical Technician is in the second scrub role they assist the surgeon and/or surgical assistant during the operative procedure by carrying out tasks including sponging, suctioning, cutting suture, holding retractors and manipulating the endoscopic camera.
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) required; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required; Technician in Surgery (NCCT) preferred; Certified Operating Room Technician preferred.
