- Assist with coordinating, facilitating, and administering the request for proposal (RFP) and request for bid (RFB) process; attends pre-bid conferences or public hearings to provide information and guidance to potential contractors on the CSCD's contracting process and requirements; coordinates the agenda process for contracts requiring CSCD Commissioner approval.
- Bachelor’s degree conferred by an accredited institution of higher learning in one of the following fields: Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement/Police Science, Sociology, Criminology, Human Services, Development, Corrections, Public Administration, Counseling, Psychology, Law/Pre-Law, Social Work. Eight (8) years’ experience as a Community Supervision Officer in Adult Probation, Juvenile Probation or a related Criminal Justice field.
- Applicant must hold a current certification as a Probation Officer by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Community Justice Assistance Division (TDCJ-CJAD).
- TDCJ-CJAD residential certification and PREA certification preferred.
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency level in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
