- The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) shall provide anesthesia and related services, in accordance with hospital regulatory, licensing and credentialing policies, and within the AANA Guidelines for Nurse Anesthesia Practice and Code of Ethics at Keller Army Community Hospital, West Point, NY.
- Comply with current standards of anesthesia practice and care and provides anesthesia care that is within the scope of practice, as determined by demonstrated competency, licensure, and clinical privileges delineated by the MTF.
- Promptly and properly respond to cardiopulmonary arrests and arrange appropriate backup from the MTF clinical staff.
- Successfully completed an accredited educational program for advanced practice as a certified nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife, CRNA, or certified clinical nurse specialist.
- Possess current certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) for Healthcare Providers in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent from the American Heart Association (AHA) at the time of employment.
