- POSITION SUMMARY: This position provides direct and indirect clinical services to all patients requiring behavioral health intervention presenting in the Manchester and Rockville General Hospital Emergency Departments.
- Core skills include crisis triage and assessment, individual and family intervention, case management, community collaboration, patient/family education, insurance verification and collaboration and treatment planning and placement to appropriate level of care.
- As skill sets permit, may provide flexible coverage to another service within Behavioral Health on a short term basis.
- EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Master#s Degree and licensure in a Behavioral Health field is required as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required or #Licensed APRN or PhD. Must be trained in PMT and de-escalation techniques, as prescribed by ECHN, and receive certification within 6 months of hire into the role.
- Knowledge of abuse and neglect reporting mandates, duty to warn mandates, knowledge of community based resources and experience with Managed Care Organizations are all desirable.
