- Definition: Performs a variety of highly specialized technical assignments in support of the City's law enforcement activities; provides crime and criminal intelligence research and analysis in order to project crime trends, linkages, and recommends deployment strategies; disseminates criminal intelligence information provided by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies relative to general criminal activities and specific criminal investigations; and performs related work as required.
- Uses general and specialized computer applications in order to gather and analyze crime and intelligence data for crime pattern detection, suspect-crime correlations, target-suspect profiles, and crime forecasting;

- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in criminal justice, criminology, business administration, police science, social science, public administration, statistical analysis, or closely-related field.
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience involving data analysis and evaluation for the implementation of program in the criminal, behavioral or social science fields.
