- We are looking for a Crime Analyst for the Police Department to join our team!
- Strategic analysis: develops, maintains, and analyzes internal measurements and forecasting of long-term public safety related activity for use in problem solving, intervention and reduction efforts of the police department.
- Administrative analysis: provides information and analysis regarding police resources including manpower and resource allocation and redistricting; provides forecasts and interpretations of future crime statistics; identifies and recommends methods to develop agency tactics, strategies, and long range plans for crime control and prevention.
- Researches, complies, analyzes and interprets statistical data from a variety of sources including offense and arrest reports, census, economic and demographic reports and related data; researches and tracks modus operandi factors and discerns crime series or patterns by studying and linking common spatial and temporal factors and follows up by reporting information at patrol briefings and to departments, command staff, city council and in public forums;
- Ability to design, develop, and distribute interactive reports using business intelligence applications (such as Crystal Reports and/or Power BI), connect to databases, and create formulas and functions.
