- Public services provided by the Alameda County Public Works Agency include flood and storm water pollution control, transportation planning and design, roadway and flood control maintenance and inspection, and construction and building inspections.
- Under general direction, holds the office of Alameda County Surveyor and is in charge of the County's professional and administrative responsibilities in the areas of county surveying; land development; map review; boundary surveying; map making; map record maintenance; construction and land surveying; and performs related work as required.
- The incumbent reports directly to a Principal Civil Engineer or Deputy Director of Public Works and is in charge of and oversees the activities of all surveyors, and other professional technical personnel in the survey section of the Agency.
- Demonstrated Professional Land Surveyor with proven background, knowledge and experience working with pertinent state and local laws and regulations governing Land Surveying.
- EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil or mining engineering or surveying.
