Amity is committed to research, development implementation, and dissemination of information regarding community building.Remembrance, Resolution, Reconciliation, Restoration, RenewalAbout the Position:As a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor III, you will support the community by delivering face-to-face rehabilitative programming services provided in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP).What You Will Do:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Deliver treatment programming services to participants and conduct group and/or individual sessions. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Effectively implement scheduled program curriculum. Leads and participates in face-to-face group and individual meetings utilizing motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and other therapeutic processes.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Engage participants daily, reinforce group rules and expectation for participation and completion. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Works directly with participants to develop and implement treatment/action plans and educate participants about supportive networks as they return to the community. </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Review treatment plans, evaluate and record treatment progress, records visible changes in appearance, behavior and demeanor of program participants.  </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Maintains accurate, timely, and confidential participant records. Evaluates and documents the progress of participants assigned to their groups.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Completes all delivery documentation requirements. Summarizes participants background, treatment plan, and recovery process outcomes.  </li><li style="margin-left:8px">Prepares accurate, concise, informative reports, records and plans that are consistent with Amity standards, and complies with applicable clinical and administrative rules.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Liaise with transition/reentry staff, plans and prepares transitional documents as directed by CDCR for continued community program activities.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">May mentor Counselor I and II Level AOD Counselors/OMCP Mentors.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Works collaboratively with CDCR, DRP, CCHCS and institution staff.
