- After engaging with over 3,000 internal and external stakeholders to help shape the future of DCPS, we are guided by the five strategic priorities of the new Capital Commitment 2017-2022 Strategic Plan: Promote Equity: Define, understand, and promote equity to close achievement gaps and interrupt institutional bias.
- The Coordinator, Facilities Management works closely with school leaders and custodial staff members at assigned DCPS schools to ensure that facility issues are reported and buildings are clean and well-maintained, so all students are given the opportunity to learn in an environment that is safe, clean, and engaging.
- Determines nature of obstacles and best DCPS or Department of General Services (DGS) staff to resolve; and tracks and follows up until issue is resolved.
- Builds relationships and liaises with various internal departments and DGS to drive collaboration and project success.
