- Job Summary: The Office of Medical Education has an opening for a Colorado Springs Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) Southern Colorado Medical Education Liaison Role (MD Program) at 0.1 FTE.The Southern Colorado Medical Education Liaison will work closely with the Colorado Springs Branch LIC Specialty Liaisons and LIC Directors to develop clinical education experiences along the southern Front Range with an emphasis on Pueblo, Cañon City, and surrounding communities.
- The Southern Colorado Medical Education Liaison will work with local health systems and medical practices to recruit preceptors in emergency medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, family medicine, OB/GYN, surgery, and psychiatry.
- Supervision Received: The position will report to the CSB - Director of LIC Development- Southern CO Expansion with a dotted reporting line to the Assistant Dean of Medical Education- CSB.Supervision Exercised: NoneKey Responsibilities: Build relationships with local clinicians, health systems leaders, and medical practice administrators to support the integration of LIC students into southern Front Range clinical environments.
- Recruitment, stewardship, and oversight of Southern Colorado preceptors who work longitudinally with students.
- Provide ongoing faculty development to preceptors regarding longitudinal precepting, mentoring and assessment skills.
